Youth leaders create developmentally appropriate experiences for youth to grow holistically in our intergenerational community.

Sunday School
Youth 7th to 12th grades, are invited to join together for Bible study on Sunday mornings at 9 a.m. in the Sojourner Room with teachers Anil Oommen, Pete Peterson, and Pastor Melanie.

Middle School Youth Group
is a gathering that meets weekly on Sunday evenings from 7:00-8:00 p.m. and combines fellowship, community, faith building, and service.  During the summer, middle school youth are invited to participate in twice monthly activities of service and fun, as well as intergenerational service trips and age-specific service through the Sierra Service Project.

Greetings friends!  Paul and Haley have really enjoyed working with the group this year and look forward to an awesome summer together!  Here are the dates for our summer events:

• July 14: Hike and Picnic—10 a.m.-1 p.m.  Drop-off and pick-up at Spencer Butte
• July 18-24: UCC Central Pacific Middle School Youth Camp at Camp Adams
• July 25-30: Sierra Service Project
• August 4: Ice Cream Social and Water Play (bring your water toys!)  12 noon-4 p.m @ University Park
• August 25: Day trip to the coast—9 a.m.-5 p.m. Drop-off and pick-up at the church
• September 10-11:  Lock-IN!  Celebrating the start of youth group—details to follow

Senior High Youth Group We will be conducting the year in a series of short segments, each one with a different focus.  Meeting each Sunday from 11am to 12:15pm (Sept-May), we will start each group with a snack and check-in. Video created by Senior High Youth for PeaceJam April 2010 Our high school youth created a video as part of their participation in the PeaceJam conference at OSU in April. It portrays our church's partnership with Brethren Community Services, and the resulting apartments being built for those with mental illness. Take a look at what our teenagers can do! The summer is packed with great opportunities for service and fun!  It’s a great chance to get some community service out of the way for the school year.  Here are the dates for our summer happenings:

• June 28-July 2:  help at Peace Village Interfaith Day Camp, 9a.m.-3:30 p.m.
• July 18-22: Summer Fun Camp Overnight at Camp Adams  (we are still looking for male counselors) Camp for homeless and low-income youth
• July 25-31: UCC Central Pacific High School Youth Camp at Camp Adams
• August 1-7: Sierra Service Project
