THE SEASON OF LENT

March 1 – Ash Wednesday

The worship service is at 6:30 p.m. in the sanctuary.

March 5 – Taizé Worship Service

We’ll present a Taizé inspired, contemplative service of simple but gorgeous songs from the ecumenical Taizé community in France (sung primarily in English). These services have been very popular and inspiring to both singers and congregation in the past. With meditative musical chants and accompaniment from several instruments, this will be a lovely entry into Lent.

April 9 – Palm Sunday

Our Festival Choir will present special anthems during the service.

April 13 – Maundy Thursday

A very special Tenebrae (“light and shadows”) service, which is the centerpiece of our Lenten musical offerings. Our Festival Choir will present choral masterpieces accompanied by a chamber group of instruments, guest vocal and instrumental soloists.

April 14 – Good Friday

A Prayer vigil will be held all day in the Chapel (times TBA).  With the goal of having someone in prayer for the entire day, there will be the opportunity to sign up for 30 minute segments in the weeks before Good Friday.

April 16 – Easter

Two identical worship services are offered at 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m.

Children’s activities and Fellowship hour beginning at 10:00 a.m.

Our Festival Choir will present special anthems during the service.
