WE ARE FAMILY is a fun way for families to get involved and make connections within our congregation. Activities are planned periodically throughout the year for fellowship, spiritual discernment, family time and having fun! Most activities are geared towards younger families with kids ranging in age from newborns to early teens, but all are welcome. First Congregational has enjoyed a steady growth of young families, especially in recent years. We Are Family offers those families an opportunity to get to know one another within the context of the Christian faith and to provide one another with a support network, which can be an invaluable asset during the busy child rearing years!    Contact: Sara Roadman 541-246-3342

Let's Go Sledding!
February 4, 2012
Come one, come all! The We Are Family group and anyone else who wants to join in the fun will meet at 10 a.m. on Saturday, February 4, at the Santiam Pass Sno-Park to play in the snow! So bundle up, bring your sleds and hot cocoa, and come on out! We plan to play until the kids are worn out or get hungry—whichever comes first! Then we’ll have lunch together—either brown-bag it or purchase food at the Hoodoo Lodge. Folks who still have energy can choose to continue playing together after lunch or go tubing / snowboarding / skiing at Hoodoo in the afternoon. LET IT SNOW! Please contact Mark Lindberg with questions (541-520-8171 or ninefootswell@hotmail.com.) All who participate do so at their own risk.  Hope to see you on the slope!

THE 3G PROGRAM - A New Fellowship Opportunity. We are pleased to announce the initiation of a new fellowship opportunity, the 3G program. Recent conversations within our church have revealed that many members of our congregation, young and old, live far from their families and long for more contact with people outside of their own generation. “3G” stands for Three Generations: children, their parents, and people of “grandparently” age. The 3G program aims to build community within our church family by pairing young families who desire older and wiser individuals in their lives with older church members who desire the energy of young families in theirs. The vision of this program is that all three generations involved will benefit from play, support and fellowship.
