Fellowship Groups
SUNDAY NIGHT WOMENS GROUP is a spiritual journey/support group for women who meet the fourth Sunday evening of each month, from 7:00-8:30pm (or Saturday morning). Contact: Babs Sullivan 345-4197
YADAS (Young Adult Disacussion Adventure Society) A Fellowship/Spiritual group for young adults.  Usually they meet on Thursdays at 6 p.m.  They welcome newcomers and friends.  Contact: Pastor Janet Scott, 345-8741

MIDDLE SCHOOL YOUTH GROUP is a gathering for Middle Schoolers that meets weekly on Sunday evenings from 7:00-8:00 p.m. and combines fellowship, community and faith building, and service. Contact: Jessica or Jose Marquez, 344-0123

SENIOR HIGH YOUTH GROUP is an active fellowship program which meets weekly, usually on Sunday evenings, from 7:00-8:30 pm, and provides a safe forum for fun, discussion, and spiritual growth. Outside events include day outings and retreats. Contact: Melanie Oommen, 345-8741 or Sara Burant, 345-9042
COLLEGE AGE GROUP is a fellowship and support group whose meetings also include service projects and retreats. Contact: Melanie Oommen, 345-8741
GORDIANS is a fellowship group for senior adults which meets at noon for a potluck luncheon and program the third Friday of every month. Contact: Brenda Cheatham, 686-3540

CAREGIVING SUPPORT GROUP meets on the second Sunday of each month at 11:00am. The focus of this group includes the issues of: caring for aging parents; living with or caring for loved ones with disabilities or chronic illnesses; being with or caring for loved ones who are dying; and caregiver “self-care”. GRIEF SUPPORT GROUP is for persons who are facing the imminent death of or have lost a loved one through death. It meets the first and third Tuesday of the month (October-May) from 4:30-5:30 pm in the Wheeler Room.  Contact: Janet Scott or Greg Flint, 345-8741
MENTAL ILLNESS SUPPORT GROUP is for persons who are dealing with mental illness, either of a family member or personally. The group meets once a month after worship. Contact: Jan Adams, 343-5051

SUNDAY NIGHT PROGRAMS include Faith Exploration Groups, Parent Support Groups, Book Study Groups, etc. Watch the Shalom for program, dates, time information. Contact: Staff, 345-8741
DINNERS FOR EIGHT are fellowship groups open to anyone in the congregation. They meet monthly in homes or restaurants for dinners, (some have a marriage enrichment or a Bible study focus). The groups reconfigure yearly in the spring.

MEN’S BREAKFAST (currently a group of senior adult men) meets on Thursdays at 7:30am at Brails Coffee Shop. Contact: Del Edwards, 344-5750
QUILTERS meets every Thursday morning from 9-12 noon..    Open to any willing-to-learn person.  Contact: Grace Rodiger 344-0837
WOMEN CIRCLE
“Circle 4” (currently a group of women, age 40 and above) meets the first Tuesday of each month at 2:00 pm, usually at the church. Contact: Nancy Gressler, 746-0457
FRIENDS & FAMILY TOGETHER is a fellowship time for families of all configurations to share a potluck supper and fellowship programs in a relaxed, informal environment. Contact: Robin Francisco or George Maddox, 345-8741
CONGREGATIONAL NEIGHBORS is an intergenerational project in which all our church family is divided into neighborhoods that get together for fun, fellowship, or other activities to be determined by the participants.  Contact: Linda Pompel, 344-8620

COMPANIONS IN CHRIST is a twenty-eight week course focusing on spiritual formation, meeting on Wednesdays. Contact: Janet Scott, 345-8741
THE WAY OF FORGIVENESS is an eight-week course that builds on the learning and growth of Companions in Christ. Contact: Janet Scott, 345-8741
WAY OF BLESSEDNESS is a nine-week course based on the Beatitudes.

THE WAY OF GRACE is a nine-week course which focuses on a "series of encouters with Jesus by various characters in the Gospel of John.  These stories from John's Gospel provide a way for group members to connect the biblical witness with their own experience of God's grace."
OWL (Our Whole Lives) is a sexuality education program that offers a twenty-seven week course for 8th graders and a high school course that meets four weekends per year. Contact: Melanie Oommen, 345-8741
CONFIRMATION is a thirty-week discussion and church membership preparation series for 9th graders. Discussions focus on "30 Questions of Faith."  They meet on Wednesday evenings from 7:00-8:00pm. Contact: Greg Flint, 345-8741

9:00 AM CHILDREN’S EDUCATION CLASSES meet weekly throughout the program year using developmentally appropriate curriculum for preschoolers through middle schoolers. The aim is to help children become familiar with the Bible and its impact on their lives in today’s world. Contact: Robin Francisco, 345-8741
11:00 AM CONNECTIONS is a Bible Study for High Schoolers that meets in the High School Room. Fun and relevant. Contact: Paul Simon, 686-2751
11:00 AM FAITH AND THE FRONT PAGE meets in the Wheeler Room after worship on the third Sunday of every month and focuses on how our faith relates to current events.  Contact: Greg Flint, 345-8741
Choirs Go to Top
JOYFUL NOISE CHILDRENS CHOIR is open to children grades one through five. They participate in worship every four to six weeks and rehearse from 11-12 noon on Sunday mornings in the 2nd/3rd grade classroom. The choir’s purpose is to bring children together for an elementary music education experience, as well as to learn songs that affirm their faith and to expose them to spiritual ideas and feelings through music. MIDDLE SCHOOL CHOIR is a group of middle school students who rehearse on Sundays after worship in Room B (downstairs) and participate in worship periodically. Contact: Jeanie Neven, 729-1281
CHANCEL CHOIR provides special music for Sunday and holiday worship services from September to June. All singers from high school age up are invited to participate. Rehearsals are Wednesday evenings from 7:15-8:45 pm (childcare provided upon request) and Sunday mornings at 9:15 am. Contact: Barbara Baird, 345-8741
CONTEMPORARY ENSEMBLE is a group of young adults who rehearse on Sundays after worship and participate in worship once or twice each month. Contact: Barbara Baird, 345-8741
HANDBELL CHOIR is an intergenerational group who ring for most Sunday services during the program year. Rehearsals are Wednesday evenings at 5:30 pm.

YOUTH BELL CHOIR is a beginning bell-ringing group for youth 5th grade and older.  They meet on Sunday evenings from 6:00-7:00 p.m. and participate in worship seveal times a year.  Contact: Jennifer Andersen, 345-8741
